The project aims at providing a curriculum for trainers – persons already involved in the labour market. The primary target group are employees at the public utility companies, employees at the SMEs in the fields of environmental and waste management, consulting companies in the fields of education and environmental management, self-employed, trainers for Roma education and other interested persons.
The “Train the Trainer” curriculum is based on multidisciplinary experiences and work gained through waste management education projects carried out by VIENNA ENGINEERS, Klein GmbH, (recan GmbH), Brantner Walter GmbH and the IFC in the past two years in the Western Balkan countries. The existing materials will be adapted to Hungarian requirements having in mind the social problem of integrating marginal groups, above all Roma, into working life.

The foreseen final beneficiaries shall be: individual collectors, SME brokers/ scrap yards and large mills – often Roma and people coming from the marginal social groups. The goal is to involve those people in the labour market by enabling them to legalise their business.
VIENNA ENGINEERS elaborated the project proposal and supported the project application phase and the project sustainability.
